A strange holiday.
But it makes lots of sense.
(Ignoring ignoble origins,
like most holidays.)
Coming together to give thanks
And share good food,
just seems right.
I'm a fan.
It breaks the end of the year
Up into a more manageable chunk
That's never a bad thing.
Back home,
we don't have such a feast,
until Christmas Day, at least.
And having one day a year
When we're thoughtful of
What we're thankful for
Is better than nothing.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
